Class II Standpipe Systems

Description : NFPA 14 defines three different classes of standpipe systems. The Class II Standpipe System is the simplest of the three, being designed for trained personnel in the building that arrive before fire department apparatus. This seminar will discuss the purpose, design and calculation of Class II systems including how to determine where hose connections need to be located and pressure limitations on the water discharging from the system.

Rescue Tech II-Confined Space Certification

March 26 - March 30 2012

Description : This course will build upon the core skills learned in Rescue I-Plus and complete the skill requirements of Chapter 7 (NFPA 1006 & 1670) for Confined Space Rescue Level II. It is also a great way to ensure that skills proficiency compliance requirements are met (re: OSHA 1910.146). The primary focus will be on more complex confined space scenarios along with elevated (high angle) rescue operations. Technician-level skills and team response capabilities will be enhanced by extensive hands-on teaching stations and realistic problem-solving exercises, including on-air IDLH scenarios. It will prepare students for certification testing to include individual skills proficiency, scenario-based performance evaluations and written exam. Roco's technician certification is valid for two years. NOTE: This course completes the Confined Space Rescue Technician skill requirements of NFPA 1006 (Level II) and NFPA 1670 (Technician Level). It also includes Chapter 6 (1006 & 1670) with the exception of select skills such as rope ascension, high-lines and knot passing. These technical skills are offered in Roco's Rescue Tech III program.

Fast Track 120

September 17 - September 29 2012

Description : NOTICE: This is a physically demanding course and includes rope ascension. While not for the faint-of-heart, Fast-Track 120 is Roco's ultimate rope rescue experience. This program will produce a more "well-rounded" rescuer who is capable of safely and effectively responding to a wide variety of confined space and rope rescue incidents. Consolidating Rescue I-Plus, Confined Space Tech II and Rope Tech II into one comprehensive program, it begins with the core skills and concludes with Confined Space and Rope Rescue certification testing. This proficiency testing is also a great way to document individual skills and performance capabilities as referenced in OSHA 1910.146. Students will quickly advance to more complex confined space rescue operations, including on-air IDLH scenarios. Rescue Challenge – Fall 2012

Description : This event will provide the most realistic rescue experience possible in an open learning environment that is both fun and challenging.
