The advertising rate that you will be assigned is based on the total number of insertions you place. Each printed page that you insert is considered a separate unit. For instance, a spread will count as two insertions and will be charged as such.

Ads on the Spotlight page measure 3.792 inches by 2.3 inches and are full color. A one-issue Spotlight ad sells for $500. Per-issue cost is reduced to $400 for a two-to-four issue contract. Per-issue cost drops to $300 for a five-to-six issue contract. Spotlight ads can be used in conjunction with insertion ads to gain a multiple time rate.

Display Ads: (Charge Per Inch) Display ads are those with borders, logos or pictures. Classified display ads will be charged for by the inch. Standard charge per inch will be $115.00. There will be a 15% discount for two or more insertions in consecutive issues. Deadlines for all classified ads will be the 15th of the month preceding the issue of insertion. 

A color proof must be included with any color ad.
Closing DatesDeadline for ad materials is the 20th of the month preceeding the issue. For example, the deadline for the March-April issue is February 20th.

Contract & Copy RegulationsThe publication of an advertisement in Industrial Fire World does not constitute, nor shall it be interpreted as, an endorsement of the product or service by Industrial Fire World. The publisher reserves the right to reject any advertising material which is not in keeping with the publication’s standards. Advertisers and their agencies assume responsibility for any and all content of their advertisements.
Any contract that is not fulfilled will still be payable by the inserter. Advertising insertions, either from an ad agency or from the inserting company are considered legally binding documents. Upon invoicing you have 20 days to return payment to Industrial Fire World. If payment is not received in 20 days all discounts from the rate card price will be null and void at which time the entire amount becomes payable.
A firm closing date for contracts will be the 20th of the month preceeding the issue. (For example, the March-April closing date is February 20th.) If you feel your material will be later than this deadline, please make special arrangements. Industrial Fire World is not responsible for any copy errors and materials will be printed as received. A signed contract authorizes Industrial Fire World to contact the advertiser by fax or e-mail.

Advertising AgenciesThe publisher reserves the right to hold the advertiser and the advertising agency jointly responsible for payments due to the publisher. The price indicated on all invoices is a net price and does not include any agency discounts.
CancellationsAcontract may be cancelled 30 days prior to material due dates. When signing a contract for multiple insertions, a discounted rate is given. If one or more insertions are cancelled on a signed contract, a revocation of all previous discounts will be taken. For example, if a company only fulfills two out of three ads to be run, they must pay Industrial Fire World any discounts given on the first two ads.
Digital SpecificationsIndustrial Fire World only accepts display advertising in the following formats — TIFFs (Tagged Image File Format), JPEGs (Joint Picture Expert Group), PDFs (Portable Document Format) or PageMaker documents (all linked materials such as photos or fonts must be included). Images must be scanned at a minimum of 300 dpi (dots per inch). Other formats, including page negatives, must be approved by our printer one week in advance. Additional charges may be incured by the advertiser if printer imposed changes are necessary. Likewise, any changes requested by the advertiser after submitting ad material will involve additional costs . Industrial Fire World reserves the right to refuse advertising submitted in unusual or substandard publishing formats
