Experience has shown that fire systems do not always meet their design intent. The Oil and Gas Producers’ Association recognised this situation and contracted Resource Protection International (RPI) to develop a guidance note under the leadership of their Safety Committee on the overall process of Fire Systems Integrity Assurance (FSIA).

“The FSIA process is designed to help facility operators and fire responders ensure that Fire Systems used are fit for purpose and operate in accordance with their design intent.”

During this workshop, RPI lecturers with hands-on experience of specifying, operating and testing such systems guide delegates through the FSIA process from development of performance criteria through to routine system testing and inspection to assess on-going performance. The workshop gives an overview of the FSI Process, covering the overall process and integration of fire protection and detection and
concentrates on high level Performance Criteria for all types of Fire Systems.
