Oil price decline forces decision to delay planned 2015 industrial emergency conference and expo in Beaumont, TX
Citing the dramatic downturn in world oil prices, Industrial Fire World announced Friday that its three-day Emergency Responder Training & Exposition originally scheduled for September 29 through October 1, 2015, in Beaumont, TX, has been postponed in expectation of improved business conditions in the future.
“The decision is obvious,” said IFW co-owner David White. “With oil prices nearing a six-year low, the impact throughout the industries we serve is being felt in reduced spending for emergency response training.”
“Holding our conference this fall would be pushing against that steady tide,” he said.
For 30 years, the IFW conference continues to serve as the preeminent trade show and training conference in the industrial emergency response field. Its mission is to provide live-fire demonstrations, educational workshops and exhibits of the latest technology available.
The decision to postpone the conference is made with a commitment to host the next conference at the right time, White said.
“The need for rapid and effective emergency response remains a priority throughout industry,” he said. “Keep in contact with cutting-edge information in all the important aspects of industrial emergency response through IFW magazine and at www.fireworld.com.”
