What Makes IFTC Different From The Rest?
Vol 21 No 2
Celebrating it's 25th year, Industrial Fire Training Consultants, Inc. is known in the Southeast as a customer focused training source. Custimized ERT Training is "site-specific, whether fire or safety training, ICS/Leadership, confined space, hazardous material and spill control, or HazWhoper training. We meet training needs of large and small Industries that exceed OSHA regulations and NFPA standards. We focus on assuring your responders are ready to perform expected skills.
Basic principles driving their training philosophy include:
- Train to meet plant needs not just a National Standard. Our curriculum is not standard videos, workbooks and sign-sheets. We focus on what your responders are required by their job to know. Our training fits shift needs, on the day and time needed, as well.
- Use "on-site" equipment rather than the latest equipment and innovations. We are not there to show their deficiencies or raise their budget demands. We prepare them to do the best job they can with the equipment they have.
- Don't teach and sell at the same time. Our focus is to educate, not to promote special equipment, chemical products or other tools to boost to boot our profit.
Training is a participant, not a spectator experience. We train in small groups of 15 or less to provide high quality, interaction, discussion and instructor observation of performance.
Training is a process, not an event. This year our first client conducted their 100th class with us over a 12 year period. We seek long term clients rather then promoting a "one time dynamic experience."
Incidents happen in reality, not on paper. Our focus is not to impress regulators but to assure your responders have basic, realistic, common sense driven learning experiences to prepare them for real potential events. Our training is 50% hands on.
If your philosophy of training matches ours, let's work together to build your company a high quality, site specific, on-site training program for the near and distant future. We will tour your facility, evaluate your needs and design a functional, reliable training program. Call Rick Duffy at 1-800-HMS-FIRE or reach him at firstname.lastname@example.org. o
